Days of Reflection

Here in Ozarks we have been hit with cold and ugly since Sunday evening causing schools and people remain indoors. For this time period, I have read two books, baked, watched the one-eye monster and reflected on the on-going rhetoric flaunted endlessly.
The events of Sat have rightfully occupied the news chat in light of the alleged assassins SILENCE on the matter. As the media walks the tight line of news and wagging, I somehow think the killer is laughing at us all! His silence has drawn nothing but speculation , yet he laughs. We all know words have power, the most venal to the most spiritual utilize this power each time they speak, write or act knowing they are looking for an effect of their words on someone or something. My hope is we all realize the power that exists within each of us - good /evil. The assassin knows he holds the power right now and he knows that speaking will diminish his power over us. He knows we are all grasping to understand his actions - power. He sits and waits for us to politically cannibalize each other with speculations, accusations, and gaffs - he laughs!  This assassin has held the spotlight since Sat and we still know nothing of the why - power.
Many other items are facing our nation/world - Haiti, contaminated water, Gitmo, fish&fowl dropping from sky, Afghanistan, Sudan, Ivory Coast, Pakistan, budget cuts, HC and the list goes on... and we continue to give this assassin power by our speculations and empty rhetoric. I suggest we focus on those killed and maimed from this event and take this assassin out of the spotlight where he belongs. Almost a month (Dec 14) we witnessed another assassination attempt on the FL school board by a everyday Joe with a gun. The Dtr killed in a KC church because of his occupation. Have we forgotten so soon?
As for the toxic politico enviro, you bet we are toxic, polarized, angry and searching for the red/blue pill to somehow place blame on one party, a belief, and or instuition. We believe our leaders must step-up and or man-up and lead this troubled nation - not going to happen folks!  A true leader will rise when the people most need them and now is not time because we the people are not ready to be lead by anyone (except the megacorps marketing machines)!
So as I write this sitting in my warm house and looking out into the cold, white and brown valley around my house, may this assassin sit somewhere in the cold, hungry, obsure and dark like many homeless are doing right now until he fades back into nothingness - I am sure many of our homeless would love a warm bunk, food and ammenities.
